Like white light, that is the combination a of all visible light frequencies, white noise is the sound that is produced when all sound frequencies are played at once. It is a pitch-less drone sound. White noise as well as brown noise and pink noise has a variety of benefits and applications. It is helpful to cover unwanted noises. Because of its sound masking properties, white noise is ideal both as a concentration aid and a relaxation aid.
