Wormhole

The Wormhole album by Imaginacoustics has a collection of drone-like sounds designed to help you enhance your meditation practice. It was inspired by a wormhole - a theoretical passage through space-time that could create shortcuts for long journeys across the universe. It is embedded with 7.83 Hz Theta brainwave pulses, also know as the Schumann Resonance. Schumann Resonance refers to the frequency of the electromagnetic field of the earth and this is called the Earth Resonance Frequency. This frequency was discovered by the physicist Winfried Otto Schumann and calculated at 7.83 hertz. For that reason this frequency is called the Schumann Resonance and is important because is the frequency in which all the beings on earth harmonize with.

A drone is a kind of sound where a note or chord is continuously sounded throughout most or all of a piece. It's continuous and sometime monotonous characteristic is great to keep you relaxed and focused without the distractions that music can cause. Theta Waves have been associated with states of enhanced creativity, learning, deep relaxation, daydreaming and sleep. Theta is also known as a highly suggestible state, where  affirmations and hypnosis are most effective.
